If I could say one thing to you right now, it would be this: stay strong. I know how hard that can feel when you are in the middle of it. I know because I have been there too.
One thing I wish someone had told me earlier is that it is okay to stand up and speak. You do not have to carry this alone. For a long time I was afraid to tell anyone what was happening to me. I want you to know that telling your story is not weakness. It is one of the bravest things you will ever do.
What kept me going was love and support. It was the people around me who cared. It was being able to share what I had been through. Telling my story became part of how I healed. It reminded me that my voice mattered.
One of the smallest things that made a real difference for me was finding a place that took me in when things were at their worst. When I had nowhere to turn, a local HOME Society welcomed me. They were there at a moment when I felt completely alone. That support changed everything. It showed me that people do care, and that help is out there even when it feels impossible to find.
On the hard days, I want you to remember this: keep your head up. Always. Even when it does not feel like it, you are moving forward. Even your hardest day is proof that you are still here, still fighting.
When I think about why I share my story, it is because of you. Because I want you to feel proud of yourself for surviving. I want you to know that staying strong and helping others along the way is one of the most powerful things we can do.
You are not alone. And one day, you will be the one offering hope to someone else. That day is worth holding on for.
